“Hi Hon. I’m glad you could make it. I ordered you a chi latte, heavy on the nutmeg and whipped cream.”

“Have a seat and hang on, cause I got some mess to tell you.”

“Oh, you heard about the lockdown. Ain’t that some bull. I got things to do; I can’t be kept here all darn day. Heck, I’m off the clock in another few hours. I hope they giving us overtime for this mess. Humph!”

“Tell me about it. I just finished changing Mr. Ramses’ bandages when I heard all this clanging of iron. Friend, I’ve worked in enough prisons to recognize that sound.”

“Really, well I heard they found one of the orderlies, dead as a doornail down in the spa treatment room. I even heard that the body was badly butchered and the parts were tossed into one of the whirlpools with potatoes and carrots. Now you know that’s some jacked up mess there.”

“I wouldn’t be surprised, you know how those lycan-”

“Uh uh, hold on a minute.”

“And I heard the sale would be going on until Sunday, you know I’m going to hit that store before-”

“Yeah, that was Irene who just passed behind you. Why you think I switched up, hon? I swear, all that woman does is run her mouth about everything. Be nice if she got her facts straight for once.”

“I know, right. I can’t stand a gossip either. All they do is stir mess up, then wanna play the victim role when it comes back on them.”

“Anyway, as I was saying. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if one of the fanged and furry types is behind it. You know how touchy they can get.”

“Hi ho silver is right.”

“Dang it, that’s my unit being paged. I’ll catch up with you later. Oh, and do me a favor. Don’t do your rounds alone, have someone walk the corridors with you, okay. Gotta run.”
